Why BatteryPulse exists
Bluetooth settings can show a mixture of paired devices, active connections, and nearby radio activity. Those states are not interchangeable. BatteryPulse is intended to make that distinction easier to understand by showing devices Windows reports as connected separately from nearby Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements. A scan detects advertisements; it does not pair with or connect to the device.
The product also treats battery information cautiously. Accessory battery percentages, background monitoring, and low-battery alerts are not available in the current release. BatteryPulse does not estimate a percentage or substitute a sample value when the device or platform cannot provide verified data. A confirmed zero would mean an empty battery; absent or unsupported information stays unavailable.
Local-first by design
The current product is designed without an account, registration, backend, cloud service, or telemetry. Profile and app data are stored locally. Bluetooth information is used to provide the connected-device list and nearby scan in the Windows app. The public website also has no product analytics or tracking pixels. Email links open your email application; information you choose to send is handled by your email provider and the recipient’s mail service.
BatteryPulse communicates capability boundaries instead of presenting every Bluetooth device as supported. Depending on what Windows and an accessory provide, a status may be connected, connected with battery data unavailable, unsupported, or waiting on permission. The current build does not provide verified accessory battery readings. BLE scan hardware verification is still pending, and Android connected-device listing and scanning are not implemented.
